After you have found a research study that you would like to take part in, you can use its Study Page to find out more about it and take part.
Before taking part, ensure you have read all the information on the study page, including the requirements and study essentials. It is up to you as a participant to make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about participating in a research study.
Contact the researcher
If you require more information before making the decision to take part, use the ‘contact researcher’ button to send a message to the researcher and ask for the information you require.
Requirements & taking part
If you are happy to take part and you meet the requirements, check the box to confirm you meet the requirements, enter your email address and click ‘take part’. Unless you tick to receive info about similar studies, we do not store your email address, but use it to create a unique identifier to monitor usage.
Once you click to take part, you will either be directed to an instructions box or sent an email where you will be required to click a confirmation button before seeing the instructions box.
You will now see a pop-up that gives you instructions on how to take part.
If you don’t see this pop-up, check your emails including your junk folder. You may be required to click a confirmation link in an email to take part. We send this confirmation link to keep your personal data safe and so that nobody else can enter your email into a study.
